What is mindful learning?

When we do not know something, we say ‘Oh I need to learn this.’
When we become good at something, we say ‘Oh there’s still plenty to learn.’
When we are so inspired and motivated, we say ‘There’s so much to learn and so little time.’
What exactly did we mean by learning here?
Does learning mean consuming more information, meeting new people and discussing new perspectives, or does it mean just reflecting on what we already know?
I believe learning is a deeper understanding of something. Consuming more information and discussing different aspects can aid this process ONLY when we understand things that we know. By understanding, we can identify gaps in our knowledge, and we will know what missing pieces are needed to solve the puzzle. More consumption and discussion of information comes into play only when we have identified what we want through reflecting on what we already have and know.
Therefore, instead of learning more music, sit and reflect on what we already know and hone it. Instead of getting an advanced degree, we should just sit and understand if there is an alternate solution to solve new problems at work. By just sitting and journalling what we know and what they mean, we can find more insights on the same thing.
Learning is meaningful only we intentionally do it.
